Numbers 31:42

From the Israelites’ half-share that Moses had separated from the fighting men, ¹ 

The half belonging to the Israelites, which Moses set apart from that of the fighting men—

As for the sons of Israel’s half, which Moses separated from the men who had gone to war—

The half of the plunder belonging to the people of Israel, which Moses had separated from the half belonging to the fighting men,

The other half-share for the Israelite community that Moses set apart from what was given to the men who fought the war was:

And from the half given to the children of Israel, which Moses had kept separate from that given to the fighting-men,

As for the Israelites’ half, which Moses separated from that of the troops,

And from the children of Israel’s half, which Moses separated from the men who fought––
