Matthew 6:18

so that it will not be obvious to others when you are fasting, but only to your Father who is in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

God doesn't require attention-getting devices. He won't overlook what you are doing; he'll reward you well.

So that no one may see that you are going without food, but your Father in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will give you your reward.
