Mark 8:15

And Jesus ¹  ordered them, ²  “Watch out! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees ³  and the yeast of Herod!”

"Be careful," Jesus warned them. "Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod."

And He was giving orders to them, saying, "Watch out! Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod."

As they were crossing the lake, Jesus warned them, "Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and of Herod."

Jesus warned, "Be very careful. Keep a sharp eye out for the contaminating yeast of Pharisees and the followers of Herod."

And he said to them, Take care to be on the watch against the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.

And he cautioned them, saying, "Watch out—beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod."

Then He charged them, saying, "Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod."

And Jesus ¹  ordered them, ²  “Watch out! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees ³  and the yeast of Herod!”

¹ tn Grk “he”; the referent (Jesus) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

² tn Grk “was giving them orders, saying.” The participle λέγων (legwn) is redundant in English and has not been translated.
