Luke 22:29

Thus ¹  I grant ²  to you a kingdom, ³  just as my Father granted to me,

And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me,

and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you

And just as my Father has granted me a Kingdom, I now grant you the right

Now I confer on you the royal authority my Father conferred on me

And I will give you a kingdom as my Father has given one to me,

and I confer on you, just as my Father has conferred on me, a kingdom,

"And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me,

Thus ¹  I grant ²  to you a kingdom, ³  just as my Father granted to me,

¹ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “thus” to indicate the implied result of the disciples’ perseverance with Jesus.

² sn With the statement “I grant to you a kingdom” Jesus gave the disciples authority over the kingdom, as God had given him such authority. The present tense looks at authority given presently, though the major manifestation of its presence is yet to come as the next verse shows.
