Jeremiah 8:11

They offer only superficial help for the hurt my dear people ¹  have suffered. ²  They say, “Everything will be all right!” But everything is not all right! ³ 

They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. "Peace, peace," they say, when there is no peace.

"They heal the brokenness of the daughter of My people superficially, Saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ But there is no peace.

They offer superficial treatments for my people’s mortal wound. They give assurances of peace when all is war.

My dear Daughter--my people--broken, shattered, and yet they put on band-aids, Saying, "It's not so bad. You'll be just fine." But things are not "just fine"!

And they have made little of the wounds of the daughter of Zion, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

They have treated the wound of my people carelessly, saying, "Peace, peace," when there is no peace.

For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, Saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ When there is no peace.
