Isaiah 57:14

He says, ¹  “Build it! Build it! Clear a way! Remove all the obstacles out of the way of my people!”

And it will be said: "Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people."

And it will be said, "Build up, build up, prepare the way, Remove every obstacle out of the way of My people."

I will say, ‘Rebuild the road! Clear away the rocks and stones so my people can return from captivity.’"

Someone says: "Build, build! Make a road! Clear the way, remove the rocks from the road my people will travel."

And I will say, Make it high, make it high, get ready the way, take the stones out of the way of my people.

It shall be said, "Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstruction from my people’s way."

And one shall say, "Heap it up! Heap it up! Prepare the way, Take the stumbling block out of the way of My people."

He says, ¹  “Build it! Build it! Clear a way! Remove all the obstacles out of the way of my people!”

¹ tn Since God is speaking throughout this context, perhaps we should emend the text to “and I say.” However, divine speech is introduced in v. 15.
