Daniel 5:25

“This is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, ¹  TEQEL, and PHARSIN. ² 

"This is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN

"Now this is the inscription that was written out: ‘MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.’

"This is the message that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN.

and this is what is written: MENE, TEQEL, and PERES.

And this is the writing which was recorded, Mene, tekel, peres.

And this is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, and PARSIN.

¹ tc The Greek version of Theodotion lacks the repetition of מְנֵא (mÿne’, cf. NAB).

² tc The Aramaic word is plural. Theodotion has the singular (cf. NAB “PERES”).
