Acts 13:18

For ¹  a period of about forty years he put up with ²  them in the wilderness. ³ 

he endured their conduct for about forty years in the desert,

"For a period of about forty years He put up with them in the wilderness.

He put up with them through forty years of wandering around in the wilderness.

He took good care of them for nearly forty years in that godforsaken wilderness

And for about forty years he put up with their ways in the waste land.

For about forty years he put up with them in the wilderness.

"Now for a time of about forty years He put up with their ways in the wilderness.
