2 Corinthians 1:15

And with this confidence I intended to come to you first so that you would get a second opportunity to see us, ¹ 

Because I was confident of this, I planned to visit you first so that you might benefit twice.

In this confidence I intended at first to come to you, so that you might twice receive a blessing;

Since I was so sure of your understanding and trust, I wanted to give you a double blessing.

Confident of your welcome, I had originally planned two great visits with you--

And being certain of this, it was my purpose to come to you before, so that you might have a second grace;

Since I was sure of this, I wanted to come to you first, so that you might have a double favor;

And in this confidence I intended to come to you before, that you might have a second benefit––
