2 Corinthians 6:3

We do not give anyone ¹  an occasion for taking an offense in anything, ²  so that no fault may be found with our ministry.

We put no stumbling-block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.

giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited,

We try to live in such a way that no one will be hindered from finding the Lord by the way we act, and so no one can find fault with our ministry.

Don't put it off; don't frustrate God's work by showing up late, throwing a question mark over everything we're doing.

Giving no cause for trouble in anything, so that no one may be able to say anything against our work;

We are putting no obstacle in anyone’s way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry,

We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.

We do not give anyone ¹  an occasion for taking an offense in anything, ²  so that no fault may be found with our ministry.

¹ tn The word “anyone” is not in the Greek text, but is implied. Direct objects in Greek were often omitted when clear from the context.

² tn Other interpretations of the first part of 2 Cor 6:3 are possible. The phrase could also mean, “not putting an obstacle in the way of anyone” (L&N 22.14), or “giving no one in anything a cause to sin” (L&N 88.307).
