1 Corinthians 10:10

And do not complain, as some of them did, and were killed by the destroying angel. ¹ 

And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.

Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

And don’t grumble as some of them did, for that is why God sent his angel of death to destroy them.

We must be careful not to stir up discontent; discontent destroyed them.

And do not say evil things against the Lord, as some of them did, and destruction overtook them.
