The sun rises ¹  and the sun sets; ²  it hurries away ³  to a place from which it rises ⁴  again. ⁵ 

I can see the evildoers! They have fallen! ¹  They have been knocked down and are unable to get up! ² 

Jesus replied, ¹  “Your brother will come back to life again.” ² 

Rise up, O judge of the earth! Pay back the proud!

From east to west ¹  the Lord’s name is deserving of praise.

They kept this statement to themselves, discussing what this rising from the dead meant.

They will flog him severely ¹  and kill him. Yet ²  on the third day he will rise again.”

(For they did not yet understand ¹  the scripture that Jesus ²  must rise from the dead.) ³ 

When the sun rises, they withdraw and sleep ¹  in their dens.

Watch them from morning to evening; ¹  I am the object of their mocking songs.

The heavens reveal his iniquity; the earth rises up against him.

Before daybreak ¹  the murderer rises up; he kills the poor and the needy; in the night he is ²  like a thief. ³ 

In the middle of the night I arise ¹  to thank you for your just regulations.

For nation will rise up in arms ¹  against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines ²  and earthquakes ³  in various places.

For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels ¹  in heaven.

Then he said to them, “Nation will rise up in arms ¹  against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

Martha said, ¹  “I know that he will come back to life again ²  in the resurrection at the last day.”

Egypt rises like the Nile, like its streams turbulent at flood stage. Egypt says, ‘I will arise and cover the earth. I will destroy cities and the people who inhabit them.’

he who commands the sun and ¹  it does not shine ²  and seals up ³  the stars;

Nations come to your light, kings to your bright light.
