who leave ¹  the upright ²  paths to walk on the dark ³  ways,

whose paths ¹  are morally crooked, ²  and who are devious ³  in their ways;

Her ways are very pleasant, ¹  and all her paths are peaceful.

¹ He puts my feet in shackles; he watches closely all my paths.’

Make me understand your ways, O Lord! Teach me your paths! ¹ 

to guard ¹  the paths of the righteous ²  and to protect ³  the way of his pious ones. ⁴ 

I walk in the path of righteousness, in the pathway of justice,

So ¹  you will walk in the way of good people, ²  and will keep on the paths of the righteous. ³ 

Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways – do not wander into her pathways;

He has blocked ¹  every road I take ²  with a wall of hewn stones; he has made every path impassable. ³ 

There are those ¹  who rebel against the light; they do not know its ways and they do not stay on its paths.

He restores my strength. He leads me down the right paths for the sake of his reputation.

None who go in to her will return, ¹  nor will they reach the paths of life. ² 

Acknowledge ¹  him in all your ways, ²  and he will make your paths straight. ³ 

I will guide you ¹  in the way of wisdom and I will lead you in upright paths. ² 

ruin and misery are in their paths,

He has blocked ¹  my way so I cannot pass, and has set darkness ²  over my paths.

At the top ¹  of the elevated places along the way, at the intersection ²  of the paths she takes her stand;

that you may take them to their borders and perceive the pathways to their homes? ¹ 

the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea and everything that moves through the currents ¹  of the seas.
