Little children, guard yourselves from idols. ¹ 

Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.

Put yourselves to the test to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize regarding yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you – unless, indeed, you fail the test! ¹ 

“And ¹  why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?

Watch ¹  yourselves! If ²  your brother ³  sins, rebuke him. If ⁴  he repents, forgive him.

When they sprout leaves, you see ¹  for yourselves and know that summer is now near.

With many other words he testified ¹  and exhorted them saying, “Save yourselves from this perverse ²  generation!”

So you too consider yourselves ¹  dead to sin, but ²  alive to God in Christ Jesus.

But you yourselves wrong and cheat, and you do this to your brothers and sisters! ¹ 

You yourselves are our letter, ¹  written on our hearts, known and read by everyone,

For all of you who ¹  were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Conduct yourselves ¹  with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunities.

If so, have you not made distinctions ¹  among yourselves and become judges with evil motives? ² 

but, like the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in all of your conduct,

And God will exalt you in due time, ¹  if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand ² 

“Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth ¹  and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.

By saying this you testify against yourselves that you are descendants of those who murdered the prophets.

When Jesus perceived ¹  their hostile thoughts, ²  he said to them, ³  “Why are you raising objections ⁴  within yourselves?

Then ¹  he took a cup, ²  and after giving thanks he said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.

You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ ¹  but rather, ‘I have been sent before him.’
