But if we examined ourselves, we would not be judged.

And wherever he would go – into villages, towns, or countryside – they would place the sick in the marketplaces, and would ask him if ¹  they could just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.

and said to them, “Thus it stands written that the Christ ¹  would suffer ²  and would rise from the dead on the third day,

Just ¹  as Isaiah predicted, “If the Lord of armies ²  had not left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, and we would have resembled Gomorrah.” ³ 

as it is written, “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, to this very day.” ¹ 

If the whole body were an eye, what part would do the hearing? If the whole were an ear, what part would exercise the sense of smell?

For otherwise would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers would have been purified once for all and so have ¹  no further consciousness of sin?

so that what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled: ¹ 

How then would the scriptures that say it must happen this way be fulfilled?”

and he would not permit anyone to carry merchandise ¹  through the temple courts. ² 

Treat others ¹  in the same way that you would want them to treat you. ² 

But Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?” ¹ 

But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people. ¹ 

If ¹  you believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me.

Martha ¹  said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

to do as much as your power ¹  and your plan ²  had decided beforehand ³  would happen.

These two ¹  went down and prayed for them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit.

When they asked him to stay longer, he would not consent, ¹ 

But when Paul wanted to enter the public assembly, ¹  the disciples would not let him.

If they were all the same member, where would the body be?
