The sower sows the word.

In the beginning ¹  was the Word, and the Word was with God, ²  and the Word was fully God. ³ 

The Word ¹  was with God in the beginning.

and because of his word many more ¹  believed.

Set them apart ¹  in the truth; your word is truth.

But the word of God ¹  kept on increasing ²  and multiplying.

but the word of the Lord ¹  endures forever. ²  And this is the word that was proclaimed to you.

The ¹  seed sown among thorns is the person who hears the word, but worldly cares and the seductiveness of wealth ²  choke the word, ³  so it produces nothing.

These are the ones on the path where the word is sown: Whenever they hear, immediately Satan ¹  comes and snatches the word ²  that was sown in them.

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” ¹  (that is, the word of faith that we preach),

Others are the ones sown among thorns: They are those who hear the word,

“Now, according to your word, ¹  Sovereign Lord, ²  permit ³  your servant ⁴  to depart ⁵  in peace.

“Now the parable means ¹  this: The seed is the word of God.

But he replied, ¹  “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey ²  it!”

You are clean already ¹  because of the word that I have spoken to you.

So the word of the Lord was spreading ¹  through the entire region.
