Then ¹  Jesus ²  entered the synagogue ³  again, and a man was there who had a withered ⁴  hand.

In the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.

Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered.”

But when the sun came up, they were scorched, and because they did not have sufficient root, they withered.

So he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Stand up among all these people.” ¹ 

When the sun came up it was scorched, and because it did not have sufficient root, ¹  it withered.

On ¹  another Sabbath, Jesus ²  entered the synagogue ³  and was teaching. Now ⁴  a man was there whose right hand was withered. ⁵ 

Other seed fell on rock, ¹  and when it came up, it withered because it had no moisture.

A ¹  man was there who had a withered ²  hand. And they asked Jesus, ³  “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” ⁴  so that they could accuse him.

But ¹  he knew ²  their thoughts, ³  and said to the man who had the withered hand, “Get up and stand here.” ⁴  So ⁵  he rose and stood there.

After noticing a fig tree ¹  by the road he went to it, but found nothing on it except leaves. He said to it, “Never again will there be fruit from you!” And the fig tree withered at once.
