When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no wine left.” ¹ 

and said to him, “Everyone ¹  serves the good wine first, and then the cheaper ²  wine when the guests ³  are drunk. You have kept the good wine until now!”

And no one pours new wine into old wineskins; ¹  otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins will be destroyed. Instead new wine is poured into new wineskins.” ² 

Instead new wine must be poured into new wineskins. ¹ 

And no one pours new wine into old wineskins; ¹  otherwise the skins burst and the wine is spilled out and the skins are destroyed. Instead they put new wine into new wineskins ²  and both are preserved.”

A jar full of sour wine ¹  was there, so they put a sponge soaked in sour wine on a branch of hyssop ²  and lifted it ³  to his mouth.

They offered him wine mixed with myrrh, ¹  but he did not take it.

The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him sour wine, ¹ 

But others jeered at the speakers, ¹  saying, “They are drunk on new wine!” ² 

And do not get drunk with wine, which ¹  is debauchery, ²  but be filled by the Spirit, ³ 

(Stop drinking just water, but use a little wine for your digestion ¹  and your frequent illnesses.) ² 

And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. ¹  If he does, the new wine will burst the skins and will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.

and offered Jesus ¹  wine mixed with gall to drink. ²  But after tasting it, he would not drink it.

¹  No ²  one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’” ³ 

For John the Baptist has come ¹  eating no bread and drinking no wine, ²  and you say, ‘He has a demon!’ ³ 

It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything that causes your brother to stumble. ¹ 

Immediately ¹  one of them ran and got a sponge, filled it with sour wine, ²  put it on a stick, ³  and gave it to him to drink.

Now he came again to Cana ¹  in Galilee where he had made the water wine. ²  In ³  Capernaum ⁴  there was a certain royal official ⁵  whose son was sick.

When ¹  he had received the sour wine, Jesus said, “It is completed!” ²  Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. ³ 

A ¹  second ²  angel ³  followed the first, ⁴  declaring: ⁵  “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great city! ⁶  She made all the nations ⁷  drink of the wine of her immoral passion.” ⁸
