With an east wind you shatter ¹  the large ships. ² 

He brought the east wind through the sky, and by his strength led forth the south wind.

The wind goes to the south and circles around to the north; round and round ¹  the wind goes and on its rounds it returns. ² 

When you summon her for divorce, you prosecute her; ¹  he drives her away ²  with his strong wind in the day of the east wind. ³ 

He mounted ¹  a winged angel ²  and flew; he glided ³  on the wings of the wind. ⁴ 

“Does a wise man answer with blustery knowledge, ¹  or fill his belly ²  with the east wind? ³ 

When he made ¹  the force of the wind and measured ²  the waters with a gauge.

You, whose garments are hot when the earth is still because of the south wind,

Not so with the wicked! Instead ¹  they are like wind-driven chaff. ² 

He mounted ¹  a winged angel ²  and flew; he glided ³  on the wings of the wind. ⁴ 

May they be ¹  like wind-driven chaff, as the Lord’s angel ²  attacks them! ³ 

O my God, make them like dead thistles, ¹  like dead weeds blown away by ²  the wind!

He throws his hailstones ¹  like crumbs. Who can withstand the cold wind he sends? ² 

O fire and hail, snow and clouds, ¹  O stormy wind that carries out his orders, ² 

The north wind ¹  brings forth rain, and a gossiping tongue ²  brings forth ³  an angry look. ⁴ 

Whoever hides her hides the wind ¹  or grasps ²  oil with his right hand. ³ 

So Moses extended his staff over the land of Egypt, and then the Lord ¹  brought ²  an east wind on the land all that day and all night. ³  The morning came, ⁴  and the east wind had brought up ⁵  the locusts!

The Beloved to Her Lover: Awake, O north wind; come, O south wind! Blow on my garden so that its fragrant spices may send out their sweet smell. ¹  May my beloved come into his garden and eat its delightful fruit!

You will winnow them and the wind will blow them away; the wind will scatter them. You will rejoice in the Lord; you will boast in the Holy One of Israel.

Ephraim continually feeds on the wind; he chases the east wind all day; he multiplies lies and violence. They make treaties ¹  with Assyria, and send olive oil as tribute ²  to Egypt.
