“But wisdom – where can it be found? Where is the place of understanding?

“But wisdom – where does it come from? ¹  Where is the place of understanding?

O Lord, I love the temple where you live, ¹  the place where your splendor is revealed. ² 

Where can I go to escape your spirit? Where can I flee to escape your presence? ¹ 

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” ¹ 

Jacob named the place ¹  where God spoke with him Bethel. ² 

I know where you live, and everything you do. ¹ 

Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?”

Jesus answered, ¹  “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, because I know where I came from and where I am going. But you people ²  do not know where I came from or where I am going. ³ 

And you know the way where I am going.” ¹ 

he lived in ruined towns ¹  and in houses where ²  no one lives, where they are ready to crumble into heaps. ³ 

Better a meal of vegetables where there is love ¹  than a fattened ox where there is hatred. ² 

Where there is no wood, a fire goes out, and where there is no gossip, ¹  contention ceases. ² 

“Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth ¹  and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.

But we know where this man ¹  comes from. ²  Whenever the Christ ³  comes, no one will know where he comes from.” ⁴ 

Your mind will recall the terror you experienced, ¹  and you will ask yourselves, ²  “Where is the scribe? Where is the one who weighs the money? Where is the one who counts the towers?” ³ 

This is what the Lord says: “The heavens are my throne and the earth is my footstool. Where then is the house you will build for me? Where is the place where I will rest?

Where is the wise man? Where is the expert in the Mosaic law? ¹  Where is the debater of this age? Has God not made the wisdom of the world foolish?

He said, “Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?” She replied, “I’m running away from ¹  my mistress, Sarai.”

When he looked up and saw the traveler ¹  in the town square, the old man said, “Where are you heading? Where do you come from?”
