They mixed in with the nations and learned their ways. ¹ 

For anyone who acts dishonestly in these ways is abhorrent ¹  to the Lord your God.

All of Adonijah’s guests panicked; ¹  they jumped up and rushed off their separate ways.

Is not your piety ¹  your confidence, ²  and your blameless ways your hope? ³ 

Does he not see my ways and count all my steps?

because they have turned away from following him, and have not understood ¹  any of his ways,

God thunders with his voice in marvelous ways; ¹  he does great things beyond our understanding. ² 

Make me understand your ways, O Lord! Teach me your paths! ¹ 

Then I will teach ¹  rebels your merciful ways, ²  and sinners will turn ³  to you.

They acted like fools in their rebellious ways, ¹  and suffered because of their sins.

I told you about my ways ¹  and you answered me. Teach me your statutes!

who plan ways to harm me. ¹  All day long they stir up conflict. ² 

who leave ¹  the upright ²  paths to walk on the dark ³  ways,

whose paths ¹  are morally crooked, ²  and who are devious ³  in their ways;

Acknowledge ¹  him in all your ways, ²  and he will make your paths straight. ³ 

Her ways are very pleasant, ¹  and all her paths are peaceful.

Do not envy a violent man, ¹  and do not choose to imitate ²  any of his ways;

Make the path for your feet ¹  level, ²  so that ³  all your ways may be established. ⁴ 

Go to the ant, you sluggard; ¹  observe its ways and be wise!

Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways – do not wander into her pathways;
