Present to God a thank-offering! Repay your vows to the sovereign One! ¹ 

I will fulfill my vows to the Lord before all his people.

I will fulfill my vows to the Lord before all his people,

“I have ¹  fresh meat at home; ²  today I have fulfilled my vows!

O ¹  my son, O son of my womb, O son ²  of my vows,

You will pray to him and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows to him. ¹ 

For you, O God, hear my vows; you grant me the reward that belongs to your loyal followers. ¹ 

Then I will sing praises to your name continually, ¹  as I fulfill ²  my vows day after day.

I will enter ¹  your temple with burnt sacrifices; I will fulfill the vows I made to you,

I am obligated to fulfill the vows I made to you, O God; ¹  I will give you the thank-offerings you deserve, ² 

For the music director; a psalm of David, a song. Praise awaits you, ²  O God, in Zion. Vows made to you are fulfilled.

Make vows to the Lord your God and repay them! Let all those who surround him ¹  bring tribute to the awesome one!

Everyone shares the same fate ¹  – the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, ²  the ceremonially clean and unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. What happens to the good person, also happens to the sinner; ³  what happens to those who make vows, also happens to those who are afraid to make vows.

The Lord God of Israel who rules over all says, ‘You women ¹  have confirmed by your actions what you vowed with your lips! You said, “We will certainly carry out our vows to sacrifice and pour out drink offerings to the Queen of Heaven.” Well, then fulfill your vows! Carry them out!’ ² 

“‘These things you must present to the Lord at your appointed times, in addition to your vows and your freewill offerings, as your burnt offerings, your grain offerings, your drink offerings, and your peace offerings.’”

and her father hears of her vow or the obligation to which she has pledged herself, and her father remains silent about her, ¹  then all her vows will stand, ²  and every obligation to which she has pledged herself will stand.

But if her father overrules her when he hears ¹  about it, then none ²  of her vows or her obligations which she has pledged for herself will stand. And the Lord will release ³  her from it, because her father overruled her.

and her husband hears about it, but remains silent about her when he hears about it, then her vows will stand and her obligations which she has pledged for herself will stand.

and her husband heard about it, but remained silent about her, and did not overrule her, then all her vows will stand, and every obligation which she pledged for herself will stand.

But if her husband clearly nullifies ¹  them when he hears them, then whatever she says ²  by way of vows or obligations will not stand. Her husband has made them void, and the Lord will release her from them.
