The combined wingspan of these cherubim was 30 feet. ¹  They stood upright, facing inward. ² 

Call to mind now: ¹  Who, ²  being innocent, ever perished? ³  And where were upright people ⁴  ever destroyed? ⁵ 

Upright men are appalled ¹  at this; the innocent man is troubled ²  with the godless.

The Exalted God is my shield, ¹  the one who delivers the morally upright. ² 

Certainly ¹  the Lord is just; ²  he rewards godly deeds; ³  the upright will experience his favor. ⁴ 

Extend ¹  your loyal love to your faithful followers, ²  and vindicate ³  the morally upright! ⁴ 

For justice will prevail, ¹  and all the morally upright ²  will be vindicated. ³ 

The godly bask in the light; the morally upright experience joy. ¹ 

Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, to the morally upright! ¹ 

who leave ¹  the upright ²  paths to walk on the dark ³  ways,

For the upright will reside in the land, and those with integrity ¹  will remain in it,

All of them are clear ¹  to the discerning and upright to those who find knowledge.

The integrity of the upright guides them, ¹  but the crookedness of the unfaithful destroys them. ² 

Fools mock ¹  at reparation, ²  but among the upright there is favor. ³ 

The household ¹  of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent ²  of the upright will flourish.

The Lord abhors ¹  the sacrifices ²  of the wicked, ³  but the prayer ⁴  of the upright pleases him. ⁵ 

Bloodthirsty people ¹  hate someone with integrity; ²  as for the upright, they seek his life. ³ 

This alone have I discovered: God made humankind upright, but they have sought many evil schemes.

What I have continually sought, I have not found; I have found only ¹  one upright ²  man among a thousand, but I have not found one upright woman among all of them.

if you become ¹  pure ²  and upright, ³  even now he will rouse himself ⁴  for you, and will restore ⁵  your righteous abode. ⁶
