For ¹  there are three that testify, ² 

There are ¹  three gates on the east side, three gates on the north side, three gates on the south side and three gates on the west side. ² 

For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish ¹  for three days and three nights, ²  so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.

We put in ¹  at Syracuse ²  and stayed there three days.

For from now on ¹  there will be five in one household divided, three against two and two against three.

For where two or three are assembled in my name, I am there among them.”

Now from noon until three, ¹  darkness came over all the land. ² 

Now ¹  when it was noon, ²  darkness came over the whole land ³  until three in the afternoon. ⁴ 

So ¹  Mary stayed with Elizabeth ²  about three months ³  and then returned to her home.

Jesus replied, ¹  “Destroy ²  this temple and in three days I will raise it up again.”

For ¹  three days he could not see, and he neither ate nor drank anything. ² 

This happened three times, and immediately the object was taken up into heaven. ¹ 

This happened three times, and then everything was pulled up to heaven again.

Now ¹  three days after Festus ²  arrived in the province, he went up to Jerusalem ³  from Caesarea. ⁴ 

And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Two or three prophets should speak and the others should evaluate what is said.

I asked the Lord three times about this, that it would depart from me.

the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement.

Three times I was beaten with a rod. ¹  Once I received a stoning. ²  Three times I suffered shipwreck. A night and a day I spent adrift in the open sea.

and declared, “This man ¹  said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”
