and a third of the creatures ¹  living in the sea died, and a third of the ships were completely destroyed. ² 

Then ¹  the fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. And there was no light for a third of the day ²  and for a third of the night likewise.

The second did the same, and the third, down to the seventh.

The second married her and died without any children, and likewise the third.

So ¹  he sent still a third. They even wounded this one, and threw him out.

but ¹  God raised him up on the third day and caused him to be seen, ² 

The second woe has come and gone; ¹  the third is coming quickly.

Then ¹  when the Lamb opened the third seal I heard the third living creature saying, “Come!” So ²  I looked, ³  and here came ⁴  a black horse! The ⁵  one who rode it ⁶  had a balance scale ⁷  in his hand.

Then ¹  the third angel blew his trumpet, and a huge star burning like a torch fell from the sky; ²  it landed ³  on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.

They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised.” And they became greatly distressed.

So leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same thing once more.

They will flog him severely ¹  and kill him. Yet ²  on the third day he will rise again.”

and then the third married her, and in this same way all seven died, leaving no children.

Now on the third day there was a wedding at Cana ¹  in Galilee. ²  Jesus’ mother ³  was there,

This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

and on the third day they threw the ship’s gear ¹  overboard with their own hands.

and that he was buried, and that he was raised ¹  on the third day according to the scriptures,

and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged severely ¹  and crucified. ²  Yet ³  on the third day, he will be raised.”

Even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night ¹  and finds them alert, ²  blessed are those slaves! ³ 

that ¹  the Son of Man must be delivered ²  into the hands of sinful men, ³  and be crucified, ⁴  and on the third day rise again.” ⁵
