Then ¹  two men, Moses and Elijah, ²  began talking with him. ³ 

(Now Jesus had been talking about ¹  his death, but they ²  thought he had been talking about real sleep.) ³ 

Then Moses ¹  and Elijah ²  also appeared before them, talking with him.

Then Elijah appeared before them along with Moses, ¹  and they were talking with Jesus.

They ¹  were talking to each other about all the things that had happened.

While ¹  they were talking and debating ²  these things, ³  Jesus himself approached and began to accompany them

Peter ¹  continued talking with him as he went in, and he found many people gathered together. ² 

But he denied it in front of them all: ¹  “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”

The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexed ¹  to know which of them he was talking about.

But he denied it: ¹  “I don’t even understand what you’re talking about!” ²  Then ³  he went out to the gateway, and a rooster crowed. ⁴ 

Then he began to curse, and he swore with an oath, “I do not know this man you are talking about!”

But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” At that moment, ¹  while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed. ² 

So they kept on repeating, ¹  “What is the meaning of what he says, ²  ‘In a little while’? ³  We do not understand ⁴  what he is talking about.” ⁵ 

Are they servants of Christ? (I am talking like I am out of my mind!) I am even more so: with much greater labors, with far more imprisonments, with more severe beatings, facing death many times.

And besides that, going around ¹  from house to house they learn to be lazy, ²  and they are not only lazy, but also gossips and busybodies, talking about things they should not. ³
