Do not take gold, silver, or copper in your belts,

He ¹  said to them, “Take nothing for your ²  journey – no staff, ³  no bag, ⁴  no bread, no money, and do not take an extra tunic. ⁵ 

And whoever does not take up his cross ¹  and follow me is not worthy of me.

When the disciples went to the other side, they forgot to take bread.

The one on the roof ¹  must not come down ²  to take anything out of his house,

When ¹  the foolish ones took their lamps, they did not take extra ²  olive oil ³  with them.

Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten. ¹ 

“I tell you, stand up, take your stretcher, and go home.” ¹ 

They offered him wine mixed with myrrh, ¹  but he did not take it.

But they all shouted out together, ¹  “Take this man ²  away! Release Barabbas for us!”

And this is my covenant with them, ¹  when I take away their sins.” ² 

Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that everyone will see your progress. ¹ 

Take your share of suffering ¹  as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

For the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins. ¹ 

Now the believer ¹  of humble means ²  should take pride ³  in his high position. ⁴ 

And ¹  a voice from heaven said, ²  “This is my one dear Son; ³  in him ⁴  I take great delight.” ⁵ 

Do not take an oath by your head, because you are not able to make one hair white or black.

And if someone wants to sue you and to take your tunic, ¹  give him your coat also.

“It is not right ¹  to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs,” ²  he said. ³ 

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.
