So they spent ¹  considerable ²  time with the disciples.

And leaving them, he went out of the city to Bethany and spent the night there.

After this, ¹  Jesus and his disciples came into Judean territory, and there he spent time with them and was baptizing.

She had endured a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet instead of getting better, she grew worse.

Now ¹  it was during this time that Jesus ²  went out to the mountain ³  to pray, and he spent all night ⁴  in prayer to God. ⁵ 

Then ¹  after he had spent everything, a severe famine took place in that country, and he began to be in need.

After ¹  they had spent some time there, ²  they were sent off in peace by the brothers to those who had sent them. ³ 

After he spent ¹  some time there, Paul left and went through the region of Galatia ²  and Phrygia, ³  strengthening all the disciples.

Now I will most gladly spend and be spent for your lives! ¹  If I love you more, am I to be loved less?

Then ¹  Jesus ²  got up early in the morning when it was still very dark, departed, and went out to a deserted place, and there he spent time in prayer. ³ 

Three times I was beaten with a rod. ¹  Once I received a stoning. ²  Three times I suffered shipwreck. A night and a day I spent adrift in the open sea.
