For those who sleep, sleep at night and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

So then we must not sleep as the rest, but must stay alert and sober.

When Joseph awoke from sleep he did what the angel of the Lord ¹  told him. He took his wife,

(Now Jesus had been talking about ¹  his death, but they ²  thought he had been talking about real sleep.) ³ 

Listen, ¹  I will tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, ²  but we will all be changed –

He goes to sleep and gets up, night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.

A young man named Eutychus, who was sitting in the window, ¹  was sinking ²  into a deep sleep while Paul continued to speak ³  for a long time. Fast asleep, ⁴  he fell down from the third story and was picked up dead.

And do this ¹  because we know ²  the time, that it is already the hour for us to awake from sleep, for our salvation is now nearer than when we became believers.
