They ¹  came to a place called Golgotha ²  (which means “Place of the Skull”) ³ 

They brought Jesus ¹  to a place called Golgotha ²  (which is translated, “Place of the Skull”). ³ 

and carrying his own cross ¹  he went out to the place called “The Place of the Skull” ²  (called in Aramaic ³  Golgotha). ⁴ 

So ¹  when they came to the place that is called “The Skull,” ²  they crucified ³  him there, along with the criminals, one on his right and one on his left.
