She did what she could. She anointed my body beforehand for burial.

When ¹  she poured this oil on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.

And if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.” ¹ 

When ¹  the woman saw that she could not escape notice, ²  she came trembling and fell down before him. In ³  the presence of all the people, she explained why ⁴  she had touched him and how she had been immediately healed.

She had endured a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet instead of getting better, she grew worse.

For they all gave out of their wealth. ¹  But she, out of her poverty, put in what she had to live on, everything she had.” ² 

When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, ¹  but she did not know that it was Jesus.

But in my opinion, she will be happier if she remains as she is – and I think that I too have the Spirit of God!

When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, ¹ 

At once the bleeding stopped, ¹  and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.

When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked directly at him and said, “You also were with that Nazarene, Jesus.”

After some time ¹  his wife Elizabeth became pregnant, ²  and for five months she kept herself in seclusion. ³  She said, ⁴ 

But Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. As she wept, she bent down and looked into the tomb.

But she will be delivered through childbearing, ¹  if she ²  continues in faith and love and holiness with self-control.

So then, ¹  if she is joined to another man while her husband is alive, she will be called an adulteress. But if her ²  husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she is joined to another man, she is not an adulteress.

As ¹  she stood ²  behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. She ³  wiped them with her hair, ⁴  kissed ⁵  them, ⁶  and anointed ⁷  them with the perfumed oil.

But Peter sent them all outside, ¹  knelt down, ²  and prayed. Turning ³  to the body, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” Then she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. ⁴ 

When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she did not open the gate, but ran back in and told ¹  them ²  that Peter was standing at the gate.

After she and her household were baptized, she urged us, ¹  “If ²  you consider me to be a believer in the Lord, ³  come and stay in my house.” And she persuaded ⁴  us.

“And look, ¹  your relative ²  Elizabeth has also become pregnant with ³  a son in her old age – although she was called barren, she is now in her sixth month! ⁴
