I do not cease to give thanks for you when I remember you ¹  in my prayers.

First of all, then, I urge that requests, ¹  prayers, intercessions, and thanks be offered on behalf of all people, ² 

and I always ask ¹  in my prayers, if perhaps now at last I may succeed in visiting you according to the will of God. ² 

And in their prayers on your behalf they long for you because of the extraordinary grace God has shown to you. ¹ 

for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance ¹  through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

At the same time also, prepare a place for me to stay, for I hope that through your prayers I will be given back to you.

The ¹  smoke coming from the incense, ²  along with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.
