Jacob named the place ¹  where God spoke with him Bethel. ² 

When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.

If he is uprooted ¹  from his place, then that place ²  will disown him, saying, ³  ‘I have never seen you!’

until I find a place for the Lord, a fine dwelling place ¹  for the powerful ruler of Jacob.” ²
