but he ran off naked, ¹  leaving his linen cloth behind.

He threw off his cloak, jumped up, and came to Jesus.

Then ¹  one of them ²  struck the high priest’s slave, ³  cutting off his right ear.

While they were screaming ¹  and throwing off their cloaks ²  and tossing dust ³  in the air,

Granted! ¹  They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear!

And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,

But now, put off all such things ¹  as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.
