“You shall not give ¹  false testimony ²  against your neighbor.

“You shall not covet ¹  your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.” ² 

When you see ¹  your neighbor’s ²  ox or sheep going astray, do not ignore it; ³  you must return it without fail ⁴  to your neighbor.

He ¹  does not slander, ²  or do harm to others, ³  or insult his neighbor. ⁴ 

Do not plot ¹  evil against your neighbor when ²  he dwells by you unsuspectingly.

The one who denounces ¹  his neighbor lacks wisdom, ²  but the one who has discernment ³  keeps silent. ⁴ 

The one who despises his neighbor sins, but whoever is kind to the needy is blessed.

A violent person ¹  entices ²  his neighbor, and leads him down a path that is terrible. ³ 

The appetite ¹  of the wicked desires ²  evil; his neighbor is shown no favor ³  in his eyes.

When you argue a case ¹  with your neighbor, do not reveal the secret of another person, ² 

so is a person ¹  who deceives his neighbor, and says, “Was I not only joking?” ² 

The one ¹  who flatters ²  his neighbor spreads a net ³  for his steps. ⁴ 

When you go into the ripe grain fields of your neighbor you may pluck off the kernels with your hand, ¹  but you must not use a sickle on your neighbor’s ripe grain.

then, my child, do this in order to deliver yourself, ¹  because you have fallen into your neighbor’s power: ²  go, humble yourself, ³  and appeal firmly ⁴  to your neighbor.

‘Cursed is the one who moves his neighbor’s boundary marker.’ Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

‘Cursed is the one who kills ¹  his neighbor in private.’ Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

My child, ²  if you have made a pledge ³  for your neighbor, and ⁴  have become a guarantor ⁵  for a stranger, ⁶ 

With his speech ¹  the godless person ²  destroys ³  his neighbor, but by knowledge ⁴  the righteous will be delivered.

The one who lacks wisdom ¹  strikes hands in pledge, ²  and puts up financial security ³  for his neighbor. ⁴ 

Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause, ¹  and do not deceive with your words. ²
