“Repent, ¹  for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

(Now the Jewish feast of the Passover ¹  was near.) ² 

Now the Jewish feast of Tabernacles ¹  was near. ² 

Let everyone see your gentleness. ¹  The Lord is near!

Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double-minded. ¹ 

As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near!’

“But when you see Jerusalem ¹  surrounded ²  by armies, then know that its ³  desolation ⁴  has come near.

When they sprout leaves, you see ¹  for yourselves and know that summer is now near.

Now the Jewish feast of Passover ¹  was near, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem. ² 

Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene, ¹  and visitors from Rome, ² 

Those standing near him ¹  said, “Do you dare insult ²  God’s high priest?”

You also be patient and strengthen your hearts, for the Lord’s return is near.

From that time Jesus began to preach this message: ¹  “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

When the harvest time was near, he sent his slaves ¹  to the tenants to collect his portion of the crop. ² 

So also you, when you see all these things, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

He ¹  said, “The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God ²  is near. Repent and believe the gospel!”

Now ¹  as they approached Jerusalem, ²  near Bethphage ³  and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, ⁴  Jesus ⁵  sent two of his disciples

So also you, when you see these things happening, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

Now Jesus’ ¹  mother and his brothers ²  came to him, but ³  they could not get near him because of the crowd.

Now when ¹  the days drew near ²  for him to be taken up, ³  Jesus ⁴  set out resolutely ⁵  to go to Jerusalem. ⁶
