Abraham had taken ¹  another ²  wife, named Keturah.

But the overseer of the court officials renamed them. He gave ¹  Daniel the name Belteshazzar, Hananiah he named Shadrach, Mishael he named Meshach, and Azariah he named Abednego. ² 

Abraham named his son – whom Sarah bore to him – Isaac. ¹ 

Leah said, “How fortunate!” ¹  So she named him Gad. ² 

Jacob named the place ¹  where God spoke with him Bethel. ² 

She bore him sons named Jeush, Shemariah, and Zaham.

The neighbor women named him, saying, “A son has been born to Naomi.” They named him Obed. ¹  Now he became the father of Jesse – David’s father!

The man ¹  named his wife Eve, ²  because ³  she was the mother of all the living. ⁴ 

So Hagar gave birth to Abram’s son, whom Abram named Ishmael. ¹ 

The first came out reddish ¹  all over, ²  like a hairy ³  garment, so they named him Esau. ⁴ 

His servants ¹  dug another well, but they quarreled over it too, so Isaac named it ²  Sitnah. ³ 

(Now Laban had two daughters; ¹  the older one was named Leah, and the younger one Rachel.

After that she gave birth to a daughter and named her Dinah.

She named him Joseph, ¹  saying, “May the Lord give me yet another son.”

At that time Judah left ¹  his brothers and stayed ²  with an Adullamite man ³  named Hirah.

She became pregnant ¹  and had a son. Judah named ²  him Er.

She became pregnant again and had another son, whom she named Onan.

Now Jair son of Manasseh went and captured their small towns and named them Havvoth Jair.

They named that place Bokim ¹  and offered sacrifices to the Lord there.

His concubine, ¹  who lived in Shechem, also gave him a son, whom he named Abimelech. ²
