For Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks ask for wisdom,

Jesus did this as his second miraculous sign ¹  when he returned from Judea to Galilee.

Reverential awe ¹  came over everyone, ²  and many wonders and miraculous signs ³  came about by the apostles.

A large crowd was following him because they were observing the miraculous signs he was performing on the sick.

Because they had heard that Jesus ¹  had performed this miraculous sign, the crowd went out to meet him.

Although Jesus ¹  had performed ²  so many miraculous signs before them, they still refused to believe in him,

Now Jesus performed ¹  many other miraculous signs in the presence of the ²  disciples, which are not recorded ³  in this book. ⁴ 

For the man, on whom this miraculous sign ¹  of healing had been performed, ²  was over forty years old.

Now Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and miraculous signs ¹  among the people.

Jesus did this as the first of his miraculous signs, ¹  in Cana ²  of Galilee. In this way he revealed ³  his glory, and his disciples believed in him. ⁴ 

Now while Jesus ¹  was in Jerusalem ²  at the feast of the Passover, many people believed in his name because they saw the miraculous signs he was doing. ³ 

So they said to him, “Then what miraculous sign will you perform, so that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?

Yet many of the crowd ¹  believed in him and said, “Whenever the Christ ²  comes, he won’t perform more miraculous signs than this man did, will he?” ³ 

Many ¹  came to him and began to say, “John ²  performed ³  no miraculous sign, but everything John said about this man ⁴  was true!”

So the chief priests and the Pharisees ¹  called the council ²  together and said, “What are we doing? For this man is performing many miraculous signs.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me, but if you do not believe me, ¹  believe because of the miraculous deeds ²  themselves.

And I will perform wonders in the sky ¹  above and miraculous signs ²  on the earth below, blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

while you extend your hand to heal, and to bring about miraculous signs ¹  and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

This man led them out, performing wonders and miraculous signs ¹  in the land of Egypt, ²  at ³  the Red Sea, and in the wilderness ⁴  for forty years.

The crowds were paying attention with one mind to what Philip said, ¹  as they heard and saw the miraculous signs ²  he was performing.
