At ¹  three times in the year all your males will appear before the Lord God. ² 

So Moses numbered all the firstborn males among the Israelites, as the Lord had commanded him.

We will give you our consent on this one condition: You must become ¹  like us by circumcising ²  all your males.

And for the redemption of the 273 firstborn males of the Israelites who exceed the number of the Levites,

From the descendants of Simeon: According to the records of their clans and families, all the males numbered of them ¹  twenty years old or older who could serve in the army were listed by name individually.
