“Lord, ¹  my servant ²  is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible anguish.”

She went home and found the child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.

A great number of sick, blind, lame, and paralyzed people were lying in these walkways. ¹ 

So they hurried off and located Mary and Joseph, and found the baby lying in a manger. ¹ 

Immediately ¹  he stood up before them, picked ²  up the stretcher ³  he had been lying on, and went home, glorifying ⁴  God.

He bent down ¹  and saw the strips of linen cloth lying there, ²  but he did not go in.

¹ I am telling the truth in Christ (I am not lying!), for my conscience assures me ²  in the Holy Spirit –

The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is blessed forever, knows I am not lying.

I assure you ¹  that, before God, I am not lying about what I am writing to you! ² 

Now ¹  when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying down, ²  sick with a fever.

He is not here, for he has been raised, ¹  just as he said. Come and see the place where he ²  was lying.

Simon’s mother-in-law was lying down, sick with a fever, so ¹  they spoke to Jesus ²  at once about her.

This ¹  will be a sign ²  for you: You will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger.” ³ 

Then Simon Peter, who had been following him, arrived and went right into the tomb. He saw ¹  the strips of linen cloth lying there,

and the face cloth, ¹  which had been around Jesus’ head, not lying with the strips of linen cloth but rolled up in a place by itself. ² 

And she saw two angels in white sitting where Jesus’ body had been lying, one at the head and one at the feet.

For this I was appointed a preacher and apostle – I am telling the truth; ¹  I am not lying – and a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

If we say we have fellowship with him and yet keep on walking ¹  in the darkness, we are lying and not practicing ²  the truth.

Just then ¹  some people ²  brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. ³  When Jesus saw their ⁴  faith, he said to the paralytic, “Have courage, son! Your sins are forgiven.” ⁵ 

When they were not able to bring him in because of the crowd, they removed the roof ¹  above Jesus. ²  Then, ³  after tearing it out, they lowered the stretcher the paralytic was lying on.
