“A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to relax,

the little owl, the cormorant, the screech owl,

Little by little ¹  I will drive them out before you, until you become fruitful and inherit the land.

Wealth gained quickly ¹  will dwindle away, ²  but the one who gathers it little by little ³  will become rich. ⁴ 

Live with him for a little while ¹  until your brother’s rage subsides.

They allow their children to run ¹  like a flock; their little ones dance about.

He, ¹  the God who leads you, will expel the nations little by little. You will not be allowed to destroy them all at once lest the wild animals overrun you.

The Lord God appointed ¹  a little plant ²  and caused it to grow up over Jonah to be a shade over his head to rescue ³  him from his misery. ⁴  Now Jonah was very delighted ⁵  about the little plant.

Let a little water be brought so that ¹  you may all ²  wash your feet and rest under the tree.

They captured as plunder ¹  all their wealth, all their little ones, and their wives, including everything in the houses.
