He himself was not the light, but he came to testify ¹  about the light.

The true light, who gives light to everyone, ¹  was coming into the world. ² 

If ¹  then ²  your whole body is full of light, with no part in the dark, ³  it will be as full of light as when the light of a lamp shines on you.” ⁴ 

While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become sons of light.” ¹  When Jesus had said these things, he went away and hid himself from them.

the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, and on those who sit in the region and shadow of death a light has dawned.” ¹ 

People ¹  do not light a lamp and put it under a basket ²  but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.

For everyone who does evil deeds hates the light and does not come to the light, so that their deeds will not be exposed.

for you were at one time darkness, but now you are ¹  light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light –

You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden.

a light, ¹  for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory ²  to your people Israel.”

Therefore see to it ¹  that the light in you ²  is not darkness.

because the sun’s light failed. ¹  The temple curtain ²  was torn in two.

In him was life, ¹  and the life was the light of mankind. ² 

And the light shines on ¹  in the darkness, ²  but ³  the darkness has not mastered it. ⁴ 

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” ¹ 

But if anyone walks around at night, ¹  he stumbles, ²  because the light is not in him.”

As he was going along, approaching ¹  Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven flashed ²  around him.

And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself ¹  as an angel of light.

for the fruit of the light ¹  consists in ²  all goodness, righteousness, and truth –

But all things being exposed by the light are made evident.
