People lie to one another; ¹  they flatter and deceive. ² 

They ¹  rebel against you ²  and act deceitfully; ³  your enemies lie. ⁴ 

When ¹  you lie down you will not be filled with fear; ²  when ³  you lie down your sleep will be pleasant. ⁴ 

God does not restrain his anger; ¹  under him the helpers of Rahab ²  lie crushed. ³ 

Together they lie down in the dust, and worms cover over them both.

Concerning my right, should I lie? ¹  My wound ²  is incurable, although I am without transgression.’ ³ 

I will lie down and sleep peacefully, ¹  for you, Lord, make me safe and secure. ² 

For we lie in the dirt, with our bellies pressed to the ground. ¹ 

For they say cruel and deceptive things to me; they lie to me. ¹ 

but these men lie in wait for their own blood, ¹  they ambush their own lives! ² 

How long, you sluggard, will you lie there? When will you rise from your sleep? ¹ 

A truthful witness ¹  does not lie, but a false witness ²  breathes out lies. ³ 

“Also for your part lie on your left side and place the iniquity ¹  of the house of Israel on it. For the number of days you lie on your side you will bear their iniquity.

The Israelites who remain ¹  will not act deceitfully. They will not lie, and a deceitful tongue will not be found in their mouth. Indeed, they will graze peacefully like sheep ²  and lie down; no one will terrify them.”

“Now then, be good enough to look ¹  at me; ²  and I will not ³  lie to your face!

You will lie down with ¹  no one to make you afraid, and many will seek your favor. ² 

For the years that lie ahead are few, ¹  and then I will go on the way of no return. ² 

His bones ¹  were full of his youthful vigor, ²  but that vigor will lie down with him in the dust.

Tremble with fear and do not sin! ¹  Meditate as you lie in bed, and repent of your ways! ²  (Selah)

When ¹  you lie down among the sheepfolds, ²  the wings of the dove are covered with silver and with glittering gold. ³
