where then ¹  is my hope? And my hope, ²  who sees it?

Thus the poor have hope, and iniquity ¹  shuts its mouth. ² 

O Israel, hope in the Lord now and forevermore!

But this I call ¹  to mind; ²  therefore I have hope:

Is not your piety ¹  your confidence, ²  and your blameless ways your hope? ³ 

Such is the destiny ¹  of all who forget God; the hope of the godless ²  perishes,

But now, O Lord, upon what am I relying? You are my only hope! ¹ 

ז (Zayin) Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.

כ (Kaf) I desperately long for ¹  your deliverance. I find hope in your word.

You are my hiding place and my shield. I find hope in your word.

I am up before dawn crying for help. I find hope in your word.

I hope for your deliverance, O Lord, and I obey ¹  your commands.

The hope ¹  of the righteous is joy, but the expectation of the wicked will remain unfulfilled. ² 

When a wicked person dies, his expectation perishes, ¹  and the hope of his strength ²  perishes. ³ 

Hope ¹  deferred ²  makes the heart sick, ³  but a longing fulfilled ⁴  is like ⁵  a tree of life.

For surely there is a future, ¹  and your hope will not be cut off. ² 

Let him bury his face in the dust; ¹  perhaps there is hope.

My days ¹  are swifter ²  than a weaver’s shuttle ³  and they come to an end without hope. ⁴ 

And you will be secure, because there is hope; you will be protected ¹  and will take your rest in safety.

But the eyes of the wicked fail, ¹  and escape ²  eludes them; their one hope ³  is to breathe their last.” ⁴
