So ¹  he called one of the slaves ²  and asked what was happening.

While this was happening, ¹  the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching. ² 

Jesus ¹  asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.

So also you, when you see these things happening, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

So also you, when you see these things happening, know ¹  that the kingdom of God ²  is near.

Now Herod ¹  the tetrarch ²  heard about everything that was happening, and he was thoroughly perplexed, ³  because some people were saying that John ⁴  had been raised from the dead,

Peter ¹  went out ²  and followed him; ³  he did not realize that what was happening through the angel was real, ⁴  but thought he was seeing a vision.

Dear friends, do not be astonished ¹  that a trial by fire is occurring among you, ²  as though something strange were happening to you.

They ¹  were all amazed and began to say ²  to one another, “What’s happening here? ³  For with authority and power ⁴  he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”
