Moses quickly bowed ¹  to the ground and worshiped

The horses’ ¹  hooves pounded the ground; ²  the stallions galloped madly. ³ 

After instructing the crowd to sit down on the ground,

Then ¹  he bent over again and wrote on the ground.

The Lord ¹  said, “Throw it to the ground.” So he threw it to the ground, and it became a snake, ²  and Moses ran from it.

Then Elisha ¹  said, “Take the arrows,” and he did so. ²  He told the king of Israel, “Strike the ground!” He struck the ground three times and stopped.

He will water the seed you plant in the ground, and the ground will produce crops in abundance. ¹  At that time ²  your cattle will graze in wide pastures.

It is like a mustard seed ¹  that when sown in the ground, even though it is the smallest of all the seeds in the ground –

Springs ¹  would well up ²  from the earth and water ³  the whole surface of the ground. ⁴ 

Abram bowed down with his face to the ground, ¹  and God said to him, ² 

So each man quickly lowered ¹  his sack to the ground and opened it.

When Moses heard it he fell down with his face to the ground. ¹ 

When he had finished ¹  speaking ²  all these words, the ground that was under them split open,

anything that crawls ¹  on the ground, or any fish in the deep waters of the earth. ² 

However, you must not eat blood – pour it out on the ground like water.

You must not eat it! You must pour it out on the ground like water.

and any winged thing on the ground are impure to you – they may not be eaten. ¹ 

explain ¹  to your children, ‘Israel crossed the Jordan River ²  on dry ground.’

Now the whole army ¹  entered the forest and there was honey on the ground. ² 

Those who remain in Judah will take root in the ground and bear fruit. ¹
