The whole town gathered by the door.

as it is written: “The one who gathered ¹  much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.” ² 

Now ¹  Jesus ²  went home, and a crowd gathered so that they were not able to eat.

Then ¹  the apostles gathered around Jesus and told him everything they had done and taught.

Peter ¹  continued talking with him as he went in, and he found many people gathered together. ² 

You will recognize them by their fruit. Grapes are not gathered ¹  from thorns or figs from thistles, are they? ²

for each tree is known ¹  by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered ²  from thorns, nor are grapes picked ³  from brambles. ⁴ 

So ¹  they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem. ²  They ³  found the eleven and those with them gathered together

So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves ¹  left over by the people who had eaten.

So when they had gathered together, they began to ask him, ¹  “Lord, is this the time when you are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”

When this sound ¹  occurred, a crowd gathered and was in confusion, ²  because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
