The teaching ¹  of the righteous feeds ²  many, but fools die ³  for lack of wisdom. ⁴ 

The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on folly. ¹ 

Consider the ravens: ¹  They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds ²  them. How much more valuable are you than the birds!

For no one has ever hated his own body ¹  but he feeds it and takes care of it, just as Christ also does the church,

He feeds on ashes; ¹  his deceived mind misleads him. He cannot rescue himself, nor does he say, ‘Is this not a false god I hold in my right hand?’ ² 

Ephraim continually feeds on the wind; he chases the east wind all day; he multiplies lies and violence. They make treaties ¹  with Assyria, and send olive oil as tribute ²  to Egypt.

Look at the birds in the sky: ¹  They do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds ²  them. Aren’t you more valuable ³  than they are?
