For my eyes have seen your salvation ¹ 

They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.”

(but their eyes were kept ¹  from recognizing ²  him). ³ 

“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” ¹ 

Then Jesus ¹  placed his hands on the man’s ²  eyes again. And he opened his eyes, ³  his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

Then he touched their eyes saying, “Let it be done for you according to your faith.”

“But your eyes are blessed ¹  because they see, and your ears because they hear.

Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.

He came again and found them sleeping; they could not keep their eyes open. ¹ 

This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?” ¹ 

He took the blind man by the hand and brought him outside of the village. Then ¹  he spit on his eyes, placed his hands on his eyes ²  and asked, “Do you see anything?”

“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, ¹  so that they would not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, ²  and turn to me, ³  and I would heal them.” ⁴ 

And their eyes were opened. Then Jesus sternly warned them, “See that no one knows about this.”

Then ¹  Jesus ²  turned ³  to his ⁴  disciples and said privately, “Blessed ⁵  are the eyes that see what you see!

At this point ¹  their eyes were opened and they recognized ²  him. ³  Then ⁴  he vanished out of their sight.

Immediately ¹  something like scales ²  fell from his eyes, and he could see again. He ³  got up and was baptized,

let their eyes be darkened so that they may not see, and make their backs bend continually.” ¹ 

You ¹  foolish Galatians! Who has cast a spell ²  on you? Before your eyes Jesus Christ was vividly portrayed ³  as crucified!

Though you have eyes, don’t you see? And though you have ears, can’t you hear? ¹  Don’t you remember?

When he came again he found them sleeping; they could not keep their eyes open. ¹  And they did not know what to tell him.
