For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon!’ ¹ 

(Stop drinking just water, but use a little wine for your digestion ¹  and your frequent illnesses.) ² 

¹  No ²  one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’” ³ 

For John the Baptist has come ¹  eating no bread and drinking no wine, ²  and you say, ‘He has a demon!’ ³ 

Likewise, just as it was ¹  in the days of Lot, people ²  were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building;

Older women likewise are to exhibit behavior fitting for those who are holy, not slandering, not slaves to excessive drinking, but teaching what is good.
